About Dusk to Dawn Urgent Care

Dusk to Dawn Urgent Care is a California healthcare provider led by renowned medical professionals. Established in 2001 by Dr. Vinson Eugene Allen, a Board-Certified Emergency Medicine trained physician from Martin Luther King Hospital (MLK) of Los Angeles. Dusk to Dawn Urgent Care is the nation’s first African American owned urgent care with a chain of facilities serving the greater Los Angeles and Orange County.

Dr. Allen: My vision has always been, to take care of the community, because they are family. We show honor by giving everyone the opportunity to maintain a healthier way of life. The Dusk to Dawn Urgent Care Staff, will continue to work hard serving our community in joining hands with those who are under-served in the current medical system.

With an increasing number of deaths associated with the Coronavirus being reported in Los Angeles and Orange County, including that of a 17 year old in Lancaster, the initiative was taken to begin providing COVID-19 testing for individuals who lack access to, but who met the CDC criteria to be tested.

The CDC confirms this pandemic virus can spread via human-to-human contact. This has placed local citizens in Los Angeles and Orange County at a stand-still, waiting for confirmation from Government and City officials on public solutions. This motivated Dr. Allen and the Dusk to Dawn Urgent Care Staff to begin working around the clock in the city of Paramount to offer COVID-19 testing, while expanding to three additional locations in: Montebello, Gardena and Anaheim to provide testing in those communities as well.
